Are you making sales or are you just trying to keep friends?
Now, this is a difficult subject for women, because often we all just want to be friendly and nice to everyone and keep it all positive. But at the end of the day, you're running a business, and you do need to have sales to keep it running, right?
You need the money coming in and you also need the confidence, and if you want to hear about that, then keep reading my blog, because I've done lots of posts on that one.
But today, I'm asking: are you being a friend to someone, or are you going for the sale?
Now, the difference between that is when someone says, "You know, life's a bit difficult and blah, blah, blah." You're like, "Oh, don't worry. It'll be fine. La, la, la, la, la. Oh, okay, you need to go and ask your husband, ask your dog, ask the donkey, whatever!"
That's not helping a person move forward, okay? Now, you think about a friend that comes to you and says, "Oh, you know, I've got this real issue with my husband. He doesn't do this, or he doesn't do that," or whatever issue. Or, "I've got a real issue with someone at work. They're being really mean to me."
You wouldn't say to them, "Oh, well, that's okay. Go on, have a think about it," would you? No. You'd be really honest and be a real friend to them by saying, "Okay, alright. What are we going to do about it? How can I help you? You need to go and do this. You need to take charge, and you need to go and do this, this, this, and this. Alright?"
And that's exactly what you need to do on a sales call: to be an actual friend to the person on the other end of the line. And same if it's in person, as well. It's exactly the same.
You actually need to call them out on their BS and help them make that transition to the very next stage, which is either working with you, buying your product, or walking out the door, knowing it's not right for them.
But either way, you've helped them make that decision and really moved forward in your business. So, I hope that helps, and remember, you're only one sale away from the Rich and Relaxed lifestyle.
